Guide to buying kitchens and bespoke furniture from Broomley Furniture.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Who you are buying from
Our custom-made furniture and kitchens are only available direct for us the makers of the furniture.
You can buy in person from our studio in Northumberland or by direct communication with us via telephone or email

Consultation
You are welcome browse our display studio where you can see and touch examples of our furniture to appreciate the workmanship and quality. You will be able to see material samples and receive friendly advice on your requirements and ideas.

If you wish by prior arrangement, we offer a consultation where we can discuss individual plans and ideas.

Design
Once we have established your basic requirements we consider, in greater depth, all the materials, furniture making techniques and appliances available draft an individual design.
We then prepare a set of outline plans and a budget estimate. This service is free of charge to our local customers and charged at cost elsewhere.
We believe in a continuous process of discussion with our customers in order to ensure that we get every detail to your liking.

Materials
We recognize that an important part of making your purchase decision is a consideration of material, colours and finishes. Samples can be purchased upon request. Please contact us to arrange.

Budgets
Our clients typically spend between £18000 and £50000 on there kitchens including appliances

Freestanding furniture costs vary depending upon size, materials and complexity. Guide prices are available upon request.

HOW TO COMMISSION YOUR FURNITURE OR KITCHEN

After the outline design and budget have been drafted there are two options: Contacts
You can place your order by post, telephone, or through email.

Payment
You can make your payment by cash, cheque, or by bank transfer. Should you choose to make a transfer, our bank details are available upon request.
Our terms of payment are 40% of total project cost with your order, the balance payable prior to delivery. In the case where Broomley Furniture is performing a fitted furniture installation the Customer may retain the final 10% until the work is satisfactorily completed.

Privacy and security
We value your trust. We gather only the customer information that is needed to conduct our business efficiently. We do not rent, sell or exchange information about our customers

Volume and trade orders
Our prices reflect the care and time involved in the creation of the furniture.
As each item is individually hand made by our craftsmen, and not mass-produced, we are unable to offer special discounts. However, if you are intending to place an order for 10 items or more of a similar item, please contact us for a quotation

How to change or cancel your order
We do not hold stock. Every piece is made upon request so all sales are final and cannot be returned. Should you wish to change your order, we will do our best to help, but please note that if we have commenced work on any piece we may not be able to make an alteration.

We do offer a cancellation period of 7days for all orders, measured from day of order. During this period, orders can be cancelled. We will charge you a 5% administrative fee should you choose to cancel your order within this period. Your refund will be given within 30 days upon receipt of a written cancellation notice, which can be sent by mail or email. This cancellation period does not apply to sale or special items.

Should the customer not wish to accept delivery of bespoke commissioned furniture manufactured for them, we cannot offer a refund. These are considered as special orders, all sales are final and may not be changed or cancelled at any time.

MANUFACTURING
We design and individually make virtually all of the wood components of the furniture in our workshops. Making your furniture normally takes 12 to 16 weeks from when you approve the design and specification.

DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
Delivery and installation costs vary depending upon the type of furniture you have ordered and the time involved. You will be offered an estimate with you quotation.

All deliveries take place during working hours from Monday to Friday. We cannot promise a precise delivery time on the designated day of delivery. Delivery of your furniture can be made at any day that suits you subject to our availability.
Installation of fitted furniture will be arranged to coincide with any building work or other service schedules that may be ongoing in a project, we understand the fragility of these schedules and endeavour to make ourselves flexible and available.

Delivery to all areas within mainland Great Britain –
This service is available to all areas within mainland Great Britain, however delivery charges vary depending upon the postcode area in which you live.
Delivery prices are subject to change without notice due to fluctuations in fuel costs, as well as other factors beyond our control.

Please note:
For items that can be carried by one person the delivery may be made by courier service. Further information and delivery charges are available upon request. Broomley Furniture does not provide a removals service

Access for delivery: Customers are responsible for checking that all goods have free and easy access to their intended destination. If delivery proves impossible, we may require that the customer accept the goods, and make their own arrangements for delivery.

WHEN YOUR FURNITURE ARRIVES

What if you detect damage to the furniture.
We carry out a thorough pre dispatch checks and use the best packaging to protect the furniture during delivery.
Inspect your order when it arrives to make sure that it is complete and the accompanying paperwork is in order. Please note that you must report any damage to the packaging immediately upon delivery by noting it on the delivery note and contacting us. Broomley Furniture will not be held responsible for any furniture damage first reported more than 24 hours after delivery.

Guarantee
Broomley Furniture guarantees the products it manufactures are free of defects in workmanship and materials. If any defect covered by the warranty appears to a product during the applicable guarantee period from the date of shipment, Broomley Furniture shall, upon prompt notice, repair or replace, at its option and costs, the affected part or parts.
2 Years: Broomley Furniture kitchens , tables, cabinets, beds and bedroom cabinets.
1 Year: Broomley Furniture chairs, sofas or other items covered with upholstery, and accessories.


This warranty does not apply to: Damage caused by a carrier other than Broomley Furniture appointed, or those hired by us, furniture used in a commercial environment, normal wear and tear or acts or omissions of parties other than Broomley Furniture including user modification, dramatic temperature and humidity variations or exposure to unusual conditions.

Textiles, upholstery and timber supplied by Broomley Furniture: Natural variations occurring in wood, fabric, and leather shall not be considered defects, and Broomley Furniture does not guarantee the colourfastness or matching of the colours, grains, textures or surface hardness of such materials.
